Brazoria County Warrant Records

Direct an official case question to the court listed on the paperwork, with the case number ready. Use the issuing office. The Brazoria County District Clerk handles felony files, the Brazoria County Clerk handles county misdemeanor records, and the Brazoria County Sheriff's Office provides separate agency and detention contacts. A city or justice court must answer about its own citation. The contact routes identify where a reader or family member can request current instructions, rather than sending private case details to an unrelated office or a general reference service.

Private reference, not a government office. We cannot verify process, arrange surrender, accept court money, post bond, or change a court record.

Where Official Warrant Questions Belong

The court and case level determine which Brazoria County office should receive an inquiry. Identify the exact court on the notice before asking staff to locate a record. Public sources reviewed for this build did not establish a single county warrant counter or public master list.

  • Felony judicial records: use the District Clerk Criminal Department and its records-copy route.
  • Class A/B misdemeanor files: use the County Clerk Criminal Department for the relevant County Court at Law.
  • JP citations and Class C matters: contact the issuing precinct and place, not only the precinct number.
  • City tickets and ordinances: use the municipal clerk of the city named on the citation.
  • Agency or custody routing: contact the Sheriff or official detention channel.
  • Legal options: consult a licensed Texas attorney and follow the issuing judge's procedure.

The District Clerk Criminal Department is at 237 E. Locust Street, Suite 206, Angleton. Its criminal number is 979-864-1189, with case-number assistance listed at 979-864-1128. Published office hours are Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.; lobby closing is listed at about 4:45 p.m. Confirm availability before visiting for a copy or a time-sensitive matter.

The County Clerk Criminal Department is at 237 E. Locust Street, Suite 102. Its County Courts at Law contacts include 979-864-1260, 979-864-1571, 979-864-1603, and 979-864-1980. Record the cause number from the official search before calling. Clerk staff may require that identifier, and the clerk does not set or reset the judge's hearings.

The Brazoria County Sheriff's Office lists 3602 County Road 45, Angleton, TX 77515, and non-emergency 979-864-2200. Jail routing is 979-864-2240. For an emergency use 911. The Sheriff contact is useful for agency questions, but is not identified here as the holder of every court filing or an all-hours public warrant verification desk.

For JP matters, Constable Pct. 1's Warrant Division publishes 979-388-2710 and directs resolution to the issuing JP. The county's official JP directory, staff directory, and precinct map help identify the place. JP 1-2 in Freeport lists 979-233-4700; JP 2-1 in Manvel lists 281-756-2410; JP 3-2 in Pearland lists 281-485-1528; JP 4-2 in West Columbia lists 979-345-2671. Confirm the court on the citation before selecting one of these offices.

The five city-court contacts documented in the research are Pearland, 281-997-5900; Lake Jackson, 979-415-2757; Alvin, 281-388-4250; Angleton, 979-849-2471; and Freeport, 979-871-0191. Each has a separate court procedure. Alvin's relocated court and inconsistent published surrender addresses require direct confirmation. Freeport's clerk office and hearing room are in different buildings. A county courthouse address should not substitute for either city's instructions.

For existing Sheriff agency records, the published citizen email is bcsopublicreports@brazoria-county.com. The county public-information route uses piarequest@brazoriacountytx.gov and the Criminal District Attorney Civil Division, 237 E. Locust Street, Suite 305, Angleton. The county PIA notice explains possible fees and deposits. Identify a department, date range, and existing record. Judicial case-copy requests belong with a clerk instead of the ordinary agency PIA route.

When calling a clerk, provide the case or citation number, name, and the precise question: what process currently exists and what action has the judge authorized? Ask about copy charges, certification, payment methods, and processing where relevant. Do not email an SSN or other unnecessary identifier; request the office's secure method if staff needs more information.

Before travel, payment, or surrender, confirm the location, current hours, required documents, and whether a court appearance is needed. After any authorized action, retain the receipt or order and ask when warrant withdrawal and any separate state report will be reflected. This contact information supports official routing; it does not certify anyone's present warrant status.

For a record-copy inquiry, distinguish searching from copying and certification. The District Clerk lists a staff-search charge when the cause number is unknown, while basic public case searching may be free. A certified copy has a separate charge. Tell staff whether the request concerns an order, an affidavit, a docket entry, or a complete file so the office can explain the appropriate scope and cost.

A license-renewal problem belongs to the reporting court as well as the state program. Texas DPS says its license specialists cannot confirm a warrant. When several courts have reports, each may need separate attention; resolving one notice does not establish that every reporting office is clear. Retain the court's documentation and ask when the state update should arrive.

Crime Stoppers is a different contact purpose again. Its anonymous tip program should not be used to request a personal case-status certification or arrange court action. Use the issuing clerk for that question and the official program only for its stated crime-information function.
